Creative illustration of a scene from The Scarlet Letter.

The process:

• Every character/element was drawn by hand with pencil and/or gel pen
• Scanned onto the computer
• Converted into vectors (geometric shapes) using Adobe Streamline
• Each frame pieced together in Paint Shop Pro
• Colored "under" the black outlines
• Put the completed frames together in MS Powerpoint, added speech balloons and text
